The iPhone 4S has only been on shelves for 4 days and already the iPhone 5 rumours have begun to surface.
Theres nothing new to report, however, as most rumours are still sticking by the design that we all thought the 4S would be - See examples here and here.
According to an analyst referenced by Cnet “the iPhone 5 is a complete redesign. This is a very large project that Steve dedicated all of his time to. He was not that involved in the 4S because his time was limited."
The analyst, Ashok Kumar from Rodman & Renshaw, suggests that the iPhone 5 will be something special and that because it was the last project that Steve Jobs has a hand in, it will turn out to be a "cult classic".
He says we should expect to see the new device at Apple's Developer's Conference in the summer of 2012.

A recent development in the ongoing patent battle between Apple and Samsung sees Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets banned in Australia.
Apple has already successfully managed to get the tablets banned in Germany, with the case awaiting an appeal hearing, but the Australian ruling comes as a blow for Samsung who are likely to miss out on the holiday revenues from now until Christmas.
The companies are currently taking legal action against each other in 9 difference countries, with Samsung attempting to get the iPhone 4S banned in France and Italy following the supposed breach of a 3G transmission patent. Read more on Samsung’s upcoming lawsuit here.

Less than a week after they went available to pre-order, Apple’s new iPhone 4S is already out of stock across all retailers.
Shipments of the original orders are good to go this Friday (Oct 14th) but AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint have had to push the ship dates back. The UK and US online Apple stores have set the date for orders placed from here on out to 1–2 weeks while AT&T are saying 21-28 days.
According to Macworld, AT&T sold 200,000 within 12 hours of availability, making it the “most successful iPhone launch” the retailer has ever had.
Of course, Apple retail stores will have stock of the phones for the release date of October 14th so for those of you still looking to get hold of one on release date, its looking likely that you’ll have to get to a store early and queue.

Just a week after Amazon released a new line of Kindles, as well as the Kindle Fire tablet, the internet giants have announced the release of the first French-language Kindle in France.
Alongside the €99 French Kindle, Amazon has announced that the Kindle Store will also be available in French, with over 35,000 French-language Kindle books, including all 28 L’Express best sellers and over 4,000 free French ebooks.
Greg Greeley, Vice President of Amazon European Retail says “French customers are passionate about books and reading, and just as we’ve seen in the US, UK and Germany, we believe they will love reading on Kindle. We are excited to bring our first French-language Kindle and our new Kindle store to millions of Amazon.fr customers.”
Amazon say French authors can publish their work on the Kindle Store in either English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian, for a 70% royalty option , and can specify their payment currency as U.S. dollars, British pounds and euros.
