3X Systems was founded in 2006 by entrepreneur Alan Arman, fueled by a lack of practical, flexible and affordable data backup products for businesses like his. He decided businesses shouldn’t be forced to choose local or remote, or to have a local box and pay a subscription fee too, when a portable appliance could do both. He assembled a team of technology gurus to bring this vision to life, and the result was the creation of the 3X Remote Data Backup Appliance (3X RBA®): Your private cloud for backup anywhere.

What unique selling points do you offer?
The 3X RBA delivers the benefits of high speed local data backup with the convenience and site disaster security of online backup. It is a stand-alone, portable device that the user physically owns preloaded with proprietary backup management software. Its unique patent-pending configuration technology totally eliminates the use of IP addresses, port numbers or even host names altogether, using the security key itself to install and authenticate individual desktops, laptops and servers.

3X Systems focuses entirely on data backup for the small and medium business. We offer a hardware appliance with its own proprietary software in three product series differentiated by total data capacity: The 500 series offering incremental licenses up to 500GB, the Tera seres offering up to 2TB, and the upcoming Enterprise series offering up to 6TB of licensed backup capacity. 1 year of unlimited, renewable technical support is included in the price of each model.

How is your company planning for the future?
The Enterprise series, increasing storage capacity from 2TB to 6TB, is slated for release by mid-year 2010 to fulfill the growing backup capacity needs of the medium-sized business market, with even more user-suggested, practical features. The product's recovery, privacy and mobility features are also fine-tuned to suit borderless businesses, and as that marketplace developes so will the product continue to evolve to meet those critical and diverse needs.
